Jonathan Kasen

Jonathan is a Florida Bar Board Certified Civil Trial lawyer, with his primary practice in personal injury. He has represented thousands of clients in his career that were injured in motor vehicle accidents, slip and falls, trip and falls, dog bites, premise liability cases and more.

Jonathan graduated from New England Law School in May of 1999. During his time in law school, Jonathan was a finalist in both Mock Trial and Moot Court at his law school.

Jonathan started his career as an assistant Public Defender in Broward County wherein he won the 1999 Misdemeanor Attorney of the year award and the 2000 and 2001 Felony Attorney of the year award for trying the most cases in the office.

Jonathan has tried 111 cases to verdict as lead counsel in both state and federal court. Since June of 2020, Jonathan has held the rank of Associate with ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates). In May of 2025, Jonathan passed his Board-Certified Civil Trial exam with the Florida Bar. Less than 1% of all Florida lawyers are Board certified in Civil Trial. In recognition of having passed that rigorous exam, Jonathan is designated by the Florida Bar as a specialist in Civil Trial law.

Jonathan double majored in History and Political Science at San Diego State University in December of 1994, wherein he earned his Bachelor of Arts Degrees. Jonathan was born and raised in south Florida where he played tennis for his high school team. Jonathan has been a football official since 2008 with the Broward Football Officials Association. Over the past four years, Jonathan has been a crew chief for varsity high school football throughout Broward County.

He is the father of two children: a 16-year-old daughter and a 13-year-old son.
